RPG-A-Day 2018 – Week Two: HOW… can we get more people playing?

Developers should have an entry point for their flagship game. Not just a basic set or a beginner box with pre-gens and stripped-down rules (those are nice, though), but products that actually teach players AND game masters how to play the game. Not just mechanics, mind you, but they need to teach people what the game is about, what kind of adventures you can have, what you’re supposed to do with the game after you get through the introductory scenario. Make organized play and conventions welcoming, inclusive spaces free from elitism, gate keeping, and harassment. Clamp down on toxic elements in the community. Showcase how gaming is a fun, social activity anyone can enjoy.
